#KICKFORACAUSE raises £2,500!

We are delighted to announce that the charity football match between Team blOKes and Erasing The Stigma FC has raised £2,500 for Samaritans, CALM and Jack's Club.

Played at Haslingden St Mary's Football Club in Rossendale, Erasing The Stigma FC ran out 11-6 winners, with more than 200 people in attendance on the day.

Tom Home, Founder of blOKes, said: "After months of planning with Connor, it was so humbling and heartwarming to see so many people come down and support on Sunday. Incredibly, we managed to raise over £2,000 for Samaritans and CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably), which will hopefully play a small part in supporting both charities' invaluable and tireless efforts.

"Thank you to everyone who bought tickets and made generous donations, to all the players who took part, to the volunteers who gave up their time to help out, and to Haslingden St Mary's Football Club for being such fantastic hosts."

While the revenue from ticket sales and additional donations was donated to Samaritans and CALM, and online auction, featuring items such as a signed Marcus Rashford Manchester United shirt and a signed Tyson Fury boxing glove, generated over £500 for youth mental health charity, Jack's Club.

Connor Thompson, Host of the Erasing The Bar Podcast, said: "When I contacted Tom on Instagram asking if he would be interested in organising a charity game, I never thought we would create such a successful event together. To say it was a walk in the park would be a lie. We overcame COVID cases in both squads, kit supplier issues brought on by the pandemic and last minute cancellations, but the day was still a roaring success!

"Thank you to everyone who supported us throughout, I can't wait to plan the next event and get stuck into some new podcast episodes."
